Demand for rubber medical products, particularly gloves, has been increasing over the years, and has been especially significant in meeting demand during the global pandemic. The rubber industry is classified into four major sectors including the Latex, Foam, Rubber Thread and Dry Rubber Industries. The latex industry consists of gloves, catheters, condoms, balloons, soothers, dental and pre-vulcanisation latex manufacturing. The foam industry consists of mattresses, cushions and domestic rubber products, such as general hoses, rubber erasers and rubber toys. The rubber thread industry services mainly personal clothing, consumer rubber products and sports equipment manufacturing. The dry rubber industry on the other hand, produces tyres, shoes, industrial rubber products and general moulded products such as seismic bearings, fenders and rubber linings.
